Surin in Phuket
Surin is a small village in the sub-district of Cherngtalay, Thalang District. It is on the western side of Phuket and boasts one of the main tourist beaches on the island.

Surin Phuket - Surin Beach The village of Surin is only small with many hotels, convenience stores, massage parlors and boutiques like shops selling beach apparel, packed side by side along the main road like a little toy village. Because of the high-end resorts and houses dotted along Surin Beach, it has a wealthy feel to it. While it is not uncommon to see foreigners walking the streets during high season, it is mostly inhabited by locals.

Surin is home to a wide array of restaurants with cuisine from the whole world, including Italy, France, and Germany. However, if you are looking for some real mom and pop authentic Thai food, this is the place to be! With the number of small Thai restaurants and food stalls, you certainly will get to relish your favorite local dishes.

Surin does not have as large a Muslim community as Bangtao. However, it is home to the Mukaram Mosque, one of the largest mosques in Phuket. So, do not be surprised if you hear the majestic sound of the Salat coming out from the loudspeakers while driving by!
