Phi Phi Don Island

Phi Phi Don Island, Krabi
Phi Phi Don Island sits in the Andaman Sea, about 32 kilometers south from the Nopparat Thara Pier in Ao Nang, Krabi Province. Koh Lanta Islands are 32 kilometers southeast of Koh Phi Phi Don, while Phuket is just over 40 kilometers west-northwest. The island is eight kilometers long and shaped like an h (backward). You can reach it by boat as part of your tour, or by on-site boats! Also, only two kilometers south, is the smaller of the two Phi Phi Islands, Phi Phi Lee.

Ferries and speed boats leave daily from Phuket Island, so finding a tour won’t be difficult. Ferries leave from Rassada Pier on Phuket’s east coast three times per day – currently 8:30, 11:00, and 13:30. The cost is around 400 Thai Baht each way, and it takes 2-3 hours. Furthermore, access to the Rassada Pier is convenient from all over Phuket. Take the highway over the mountain pass toward Phuket Town, and follow the signs to Rassada Pier. It sits just east of Phuket Town, near Koh Sire Island.
