Iguana Beach Phuket

Going north along Patong/Kalim Beach and following Highway 4233, in just five short minutes you’ll find Iguana Beach on the left side of the road marked by a meter-high concrete sign in white lettering on a dark grey background.

Iguana Beach is like a rock-filled Paradise Beach you can find near Tri-Trang Beach just south of Patong Beach. There are three levels to this ‘beach’ – rocks and some sand at sea-level, a second level of lounge chairs and umbrellas, and the upper level with some chairs and a spot for relaxation by the Iguana bar.

The Iguana beach area is not good for swimming or walking because the rocks are everywhere you look. While you may think the snorkeling could be good at this beach, it would take a bit of finesse to get out into the water without cutting your feet, so wear reef shoes and be careful about it. There is a large rocky area you can explore once you get out in the water safely. Going south for nearly 2 kilometers (1.2 miles), you’ll find rocks along the shore. If you go north, you’ll have 500 meters of rocks to snorkel around.

Iguana Beach is in a very small bay occupied by the Iguana Beach Bar. They have excellent ratings from visitors, and of course they have a variety of alcohol and other drinks available. Of course, if you’re eating or drinking at the bar, you’ll have access to their restrooms and shower for your feet.
