Ao Po

Ao Po, Phuket
Called also Ao Por, Ao Po is a secluded bay on the northeastern coast of Phuket.

Ao Por Pier is one of the main docks in Phuket, on its northeastern edge, in the Pa Klok area. There, you can catch a boat to Phang Nga Bay or take a cruise around the inlets lining Phuket coasts.

Ao Po Grand Marina is the gateway to Phang Nga Bay. A 300 berth marina with 10m wide walkways on the north and east docks, it can accommodate 100m+ super yachts. Furthermore, dockside has shore power (max of 400 amps), clean water, and is nearby convenient deep water, high capacity fuel dock. Additionally, the ramp allows for haul-outs up to 100m+, and the hardstand accommodates 80 boats. It is accessible 24 hours a day and has zero tide restrictions.

The Chandara Resort, boasting its own small headland and private beach, sits just out of sight of Ao Po, around the northern corner. Moreover, this beach is something of a pleasant surprise for the East coast. It's quite wide, with fine white sand and tropical sea breeze.

One of the islands that shelter the bay, covered with coconut plantations and large shady trees, is Koh Naka Yai. With wide sandy beaches on both its east and west coasts, this is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon relaxing. Besides, there are two resorts on the island, if you wish to make your relaxing afternoon an overnight trip.
