Jor Soo Gong Naka Shrine or Choor Su Gong Naka Shrine is one of 18 Chinese shrines found here in Phuket.

The shrine was originally built in 1904 by Chinese immigrants working in the tin mine industry on the island of Phuket; after being neglected for many years when the tin mining trade receded from the region, it was renovated and extended in 1964, thanks to benefactors who contributed money and land for its rejuvenation.

Located in Chaofa West and newly painted with greens, yellows and reds this holy shrine (also known as Hun Jong Arm Shrine) features beautifully ornate dragon pillars and a traditional Thai-style roof decorated with lion statues.

Jor Soo Gong Naka Shrine proudly participates in the annual Phuket Vegetarian Festival, also known as the Nine Emperor Gods Festival, where patrons dress in white and eat vegetarian dishes. The ceremony is said to invoke and welcome the spirits of the nine emperors.
