Small Island Beaches

Phuket, Thailand

Read Introduction

While Phuket is one of Thailand's most renowned islands with its white sandy beaches, exotic palm trees lined landscaping and rocky shores that are perfect for scuba diving, not many people know or even realize that scattered around its coasts are a wonderful mix of small islands with glorious small island beaches of their own. With everything from a tiny cluster of boulders to climb on and explore to much larger inhabitable pieces of land, they all have one thing in common: their picturesque tropical beaches. While some of these small islands and small island beaches, such as Koh Phi Phi and Similan, have become quite popular within the tourist industry over the last few years, there are still quite a few that are virtually deserted and relatively undeveloped, making them the perfect place to escape the crowds while staying within that exotic atmosphere. Of course there are those few islands that are completely unspoiled by man, the ones you can only reach by some form of boat and whose only accommodation range from either huts or tents. These are generally the ones with the best small island beaches where the waters are clear and the white sand feels almost like powder.
