So many locals will just use their 7-11 for their regular day to day food items such as bread, banana bread, soda, chips, milk, beer, yogurt and more. There is so much to be found at the 7-11 nowadays: they even make snacks for you now heating them up in the microwave or making a hot dog wrapped in bacon. Using the 7-11, Family Mart or other convenience stores can be more expensive but very convenient as you can find them literally everywhere you look in Phuket. Tesco Lotus has also these little Tesco Lotus Express supermarkets in Phuket which you can find if you’re on the lookout for them. They have one in Surin. You can expect to find a good sampling of the most bought items from the big Tesco Lotus supermarkets at these Express shops. These are not small stores either, they’re about eight times the size of a 7-11, so chances are good that they will have what you need. If you’re not close to a local supermarket in Phuket listed above, maybe one of these is near you?
- Nai Thon Market – a small local Thai market in Nai Thon.
- Fresh Goods Shops in Nai Yang – a good place to go if no market is open and you need something.
- Super Cheap Nai Yang – a smaller version of the huge store in Phuket Town.
- Villa Market Laguna in Cherngtalay.
