Wat Anamai Kasem in Bangtao is just 18.4 km (or 30 minutes) away from Bismarcks Paradise Phuket luxury villas resort.

Wat Anamai Kasem is a small and older Theravada Buddhist Temple located in the Bang Tao area of Phuket Island. Though some temples are built up and offer some things to see and do in Phuket, this temple is not really one of them. If you are joined to the temple and know some of the monks, it can be a nice place to come and spend some peaceful time.

This is a very quiet temple with little going on. There are a couple of interesting buildings to see, but in general there is nothing really to see here for foreigners interested in temples. You should visit a larger temple instead and possibly you’ll have the chance to meet up with a Buddhist monk who speaks some English.
To find Wat Anamai Kasem, just go 1.3 kilometers east (inland) from Surin Beach on the west coast of Phuket on Highway 4025, and it is on your right side. This temple is very close to Wat Bang Thao.
