Iniala Kitchen & Bar

The Iniala Restaurant (Iniala Kitchen & Bar) is one of the 50 best restaurants in Phuket for non-Thai food. It’s located on Boat Avenue in Cherngtalay.

There are 9 tables inside (air-con) and 6 tables outside. The outside tables are near the street, therefore the ambiance is only average.

The Iniala Restaurant says of itself: “We offer Spanish / Mediterranean / International cuisine.”
We can confirm this!

We tested 2 starters, 2 main courses, 2 deserts, 2 aperitifs, 2 wines, water and coffee.

Starters:
We chose 2 different kinds of Ceviche, the Classic one and the Spanish one.
–> Both tasted excellent, however the Classic one was not really the well known classic recipe (as available in many countries such as Peru, Mexico, Philippines and others).

Main course:
We chose Octopus Galician style with potato & Chimichurri  (360 Baht) & Grandma’s beef cannelloni with paprika Béchamel sauce  (430 Baht ). Both dishes were presented very nicely and more importantly both dishes were cooked to perfection.

Desert:
We chose Mykonos style crispy filo pastry, chocolate mousse & caramel ice cream (420 Baht) and Catalan Crème Brulee (210 Baht). Again both were nicely presented and very yummy.

Drinks:
Iniala offers 28 different wines (reasonably priced). We chose intentionally 2 house wines. Both of the house wines tasted well balanced and good.

Special congratulations to their Pimm’s Nr.1 Cocktail, this drink is normally not such good outside of England.

Only one negative comment: beer lovers will not be happy as world known brands from Europe are not available.

Overall: Iniala Restaurant Cherngtalay is an Excellent Restaurant and should be on your list for dining out. Short time ago there was a cocktail Lounge added to the first floor.
