Layan Beach is a beautiful beach south of Phuket international airport on the island of Phuket, Thailand.

Layan Beach, one beach south of Nai Thon Beach (Bismarcks Paradise – Luxury Villas Phuket’s house beach) is less crowded than the other beaches which seems to be one of the main attraction of this nice beach north of the Laguna complex and south of the Phuket international airport.

What was the famous “Nikki Beach – Beach club” before is now the newly opened “Dream Beach – Beach club” and it entertains its visitors the whole day with the latest of Chill, House and EDM … hosting a calendar of seductive parties and world-class nightclub events in an exclusive partnership with global music giants such as Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi.

It might not be everybody’s taste but you do have the chance to keep away from the club and still be in the vicinity of decent restaurants and locally run beach bars on the shores of Layan Beach. It’s also nice to know that Layan Beach offers shade throughout the day, thanks to its Casuarina trees and coconut palms.

For many couples, the perfect ending is a well orchestrated romantic dinner happening right next to the beach. It should include great service and to the point well-cooked food, served with a smile by well-trained staff. One of the place we think is up for it is Dee Plee Restaurant which is part of the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort. But you can also find you own little haven and enjoy the evening with friends, family and loved ones.

If you like to explore new grounds, Koh Kala, giving Layan beach shelter, is a small island just a few meters off the mainland and is in part responsible for the calm and tranquil environment. You can also rent kayaks and circumnavigate the island.
